Fast Titles: We do not print fast titles during a title transfer transaction. Please choose ‘electronic’ on your title application. If you need a fast title for your customer you may visit with your letterhead, valid identification, and the title number you need printed. Please ensure you bring payment for that additional transaction at the time of your request. We’ve attached a sample of a letterhead required for fast title pick-up for your reference.
Plate Credits:
Please write the plate number in the designated place on the title application. If the credit requires a replacement plate, please write ‘replace’ next to the plate number. If you need a new plate, simply write new. If you are not registering the vehicle, you must also indicate this in section 11 by checking the applicable affidavit. We are unable to issue expired registrations. If your customers registration expires in the same month a renewal will be processed.
Complete Names: Names printed on title certificates or applications for title certificates must be completed in full. Please do not abbreviate any first or last names of your agents or customers. Your deal will be rejected.
Timeframe: While we make every effort to complete dealer work within 48 hours, this is not guaranteed. You will be contacted once your work is ready to pick up. Note: Specialty dealer transactions such as towing/storage or rebuilt transactions are not included within this 48-hour timeframe.
Gifts/Treats: We always love to hear of a job well done from our residents. If you’d like to give kudos for a job well done, please feel free to email taxcollector@flaglertax.gov. This goes directly to our tax collector who loves to hear from happy residents. Please refrain from bringing any treats for a specific clerk, if you’d like to bring a treat, please bring enough for all staff to share.

Folder/Pin/Phone Number: All dealer transactions must be dropped off in a folder or envelope, so all documents are contained and secure. You must include your dealership name, dealer number, PIN number, and phone number for contact.
Payment: Payment is required when dropping off dealer work. Preferable payments are dealership checks. If you prefer to pay with cash or credit/debit we will collect payment for the estimated amount for the transactions presented when you drop off. If there is an overage this money will be held for further transactions in an escrow account, we are unable to provide cash back.
Insurance: Proof of Florida insurance is required for every transaction when registration is requested. If you have not enclosed proof of Florida insurance your transaction will be rejected.
Drop off only: All dealer transactions are drop-off only. We are required to hand completed transactions to a Florida licensed dealer or their representative; we will not release transactions to your buyer.
Surrender Plates: If you are bringing a plate to us to surrender for your customer you must have them complete HSMV 82050 to turn in with the plate.
