Amendment 3 Passed — But Your 2026 Property Tax Bill Is Still Due!

Florida voters approved Amendment 3 in the November 2026 General Election. While this amendment changes property tax exemptions beginning January 1, 2027, it does not change or eliminate your 2026 property tax bill.

If you recently received your 2026 property tax bill in the mail, please remember:

• Your 2026 tax bill remains due as issued.
• Amendment 3 does not apply to your 2026 property tax bill.
• The new exemption takes effect January 1, 2027, and will be reflected in eligible property                owners' 2027 tax bills.
• Property owners will still receive a property tax bill in 2027. The difference will be the                      exemption for which they qualify.
